City Sketches
Working with the support of The Mayor of London, we were super lucky to be invited into the artistic world of Jeannette Barnes and Paul Brandford. City sketching is a new cultural phenomena which is based around the notion of artists getting together and sketching their city. In this film Jeannette and Paul walk us through their artistic practice, and tell us about their new book called City Sketching.
THE CONCEPT
This pilot looks at the possibilities of developing a series which looks at our city from an artistic angle. The proposed format for this show is to focus on some of London's most iconic buildings and architecture by exploring what they mean to people, and how they are considered in the eyes of an artist. The show proposes to invite the architects to engage in the practice of City Sketching with resident artists Jeannette Barnes and Paul Brandford at the end of each episode.
